On November 28, 2020, the 100 Men Who Cook™, Inc. is going virtual.
Thank you for the support you have given us in the past. We cannot express how appreciative we are for that. We need you moving forward. COVID-19 brought the 100 Men Who Cook to a complete halt in terms of gathering. We’ve had to cancel our annual Harvest Festival normally held in Denver City Park in August, and the most popular premier gala in our community, the 100 Men Who Cook Black Tie Fundraiser held annually in November. What remains true is that we, as well as the organizations we serve continue to fulfill our mission: The 100 Men Who Cook, Inc. is dedicated to supporting
Denver’s youth by helping grassroots community nonprofit organizations raise operating capital to sustain their goals and objectives. This was to be the year that we pass the $100,000 giving mark.
Our long-standing organizations have steadfastly provided services to our neighborhood community despite consistently operating on a ‘shoe-string’ budget. Collectively, Athletics & Beyond, Colorado Beautillion-Cotillion, Inc., Vision Performing Arts College Prep, Struggle of Love Foundation and the Music and Leadership Institute reach over 10,000 families annually.
Their work includes a food pantry, meal delivery to seniors and persons with disabilities, mentoring and tutoring, financial literacy workshops and violence intervention. Our beneficiaries have been operating primarily from the support of private donations and in kind resources while continuing to serve during the pandemic.
Information is forthcoming on the virtual programs the 100 MWC plan to host. This year your sponsorship is needed to assist in overcoming the difficulties in fundraising efforts presented by COVID-19. While we do not have sponsorship levels based on incentives, it is our hope to receive your contribution as in past years of $10,000; $5000; or $3,000. You will be listed as a major sponsor on our website and have a presence during our virtual gala.
